Mark W. Anthoine Sr., RHU, CLU, ChFC

Mark is the Managing Partner at Varney Financial and is responsible for client relationships, new client acquisition, and overall management of the firm. He has over 35 years of experience working with small and large employers, as well as individual clients throughout Maine and New England.

Prior to joining Varney Financial, Mark served as Managing Partner for BGA Financial, a multi-faceted financial services firm working with clients in employee benefits, employer sponsored qualified retirement plans and individual life, disability and long-term care insurance. He holds professional designations as a Registered Health Underwriter (RHU), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). He holds a Life and Health insurance license as well as his Series 6 and 63 securities licenses.

Mark is also a Partner at Varney Benefits Advisors, a Varney firm focused on employee benefits programs for small and large employers.

Mark is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Covenant Health in Andover, Massachusetts and is a member of the Board of Directors for St. Mary's Health System in Lewiston, Maine. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for Hebron Academy. 

He is a 1984 graduate of Bowdoin College.

Mark is married, has four children and one grandchild. He resides in Lewiston, Maine.
